I can not believe how busy the website has been so far this weekend,. Reading another paper ,Mail on Sunday about enviromental issues, and I notice that the Virgin group are looking for clean fuel. They even have a clean fuel division. The most hopeful project is cellulsic butinol, which can be made from sugar. If it can be made to work it will produce no carbon emmisions at all. Unlike ethanol it doesn't freeze at 30,000 ft and it is far more powerful. They are building 10 new ethanol plants in the States and are trying to develop windmills which are effective in 2mph instead of the present 6mph, and they are also investing in solar energy.

They are pledging that 100 per cent of any money they make from their airlines worldwide,also their spaceship company and from the train company go into clean fuels. That means that anyone who flys on a Virgin plane will know that the profit is going into trying to solve the problem.
