Fairtrade shops are alive and well in this part of the USA and in particular the Haight Ashbury part of San Francisco. This is the district that is a throwback from the hippy sixties times. Great atmosphere, I feel very safe walking about. I got to this district by tram which seem to run all over the city. They are very clean form of transport, and certainly they should be used more. When I was interviewing the Euro MP for the film, I was told that this system work really well in Brussels. Lets have more. and they are great fun to ride on. The Trolley bus which is a little different as they are pulled aloong from underneath instead on overhead cables. Great again for hopping on and off, or just hanging on for dear life. Enviromentally very freindly, and an experience not be missed. A visit to China town in the evening and a fabulous healthy and tasty meal.
