Julian launches a project to raise awareness in fair trade by asking companies who wish to sponsor a box at £19 each. The money will develop a plan that incorporates a new Caffe-Society energy efficient store that could set a new trend in the way all stores will be for the benefit of the planet. He also wants to help charities that work in Africa, Asia and South America. By offering 50% of the money raised to help improve the enviroment and future in the kind of areas that fair trade products come from.

Independant Report

Sponsored Projects News Update

I am planning to raise money for charities that work in countries like Africa, Asia and South America. These are the places that typically produce the fair trade products that I sell in my Store, Caffe - Society. I also want to make more people aware of the fair trade cause by publicising this project through the media, such as advertising and making it into a TV programme. In addition I want to expand my present business by opening a second store that will offer an extensive range of fair trade products. I also want to explore the opportunities of renewable energy and carbon saving schemes by constructing a store that takes into account all the latest technology.

During the making of this project one of the objectives will be to offset the CO2, carbon ommisions that I will create in traveling from place to place. I will be activly consulting the United Nations Enviroment Programme as to the best ways I can best offset the CO2.

The charities that I think would best suit this projects are ones that offer facilities that allow people to help themselves. One being Fresh Water. If there is a ready supply of water, which has to be the most important element that we all need then other things can happen, crops grow, disease kept at bay in many cases, and so much more.
